Hold a Fashion Swap Party!

Wouldn’t you love to go shopping with your girlfriends and not pay a dime? Well..it is actually possible! Hold a fashion swapping party!
Here’s how it works: you invite your girlfriends and ask them to each invite a friend or two. Everyone brings clothing and accessories that they would like to swap. Serve cool drinks and snacks for everyone to enjoy.
Admittedly, swaps may not always be as neat and clean as you may think. Someone’s size 10 may fit a size 14 and then they may realize that another person’s stuff fits them. So you don’t always wind up swapping exactly with another person. Often swaps are group-based, with everyone being generous about trading with they have for the chance to have something else.
Try to invite women that are within the same size range. Also be sensitive to friends who may be very different sizes from other members of the group—as they may have some frustration doing swapping. See if you can find some other women of the same size to invite so they also have someone to attempt to make swaps with. You can also ask them if they know someone around their same size. This is why it can be useful to encourage women to also bring accessories and not just clothing, as it allows everyone to make at least one or two swaps.
You shouldn’t have to be told...but swapping items should be neat, clean, pressed and in excellent condition. If you wouldn’t wear it personally, then don’t consider swapping it is always a good rule of thumb.
Wear clothing that is easy to try things over or to slip off at the party, as many women will want to try clothing on to be sure it fits. Sometimes you can just hold things up and “know” they are going to fit, but other times you really have to put it on to know. You know?

This is a great idea. Sounds like a lot of fun. I’d also recommend that all the girls make an effort to bring something they particularly like. I could imagine everyone bringing something they don’t really care for anymore.
