Housewives of the Big Apple to Replace the Orange?

It looks like Bravo will introduce a new Housewives show to replace the ending series “Real Housewives of Orange County”. Same concept, different coast. This time, Bravo will be following a group of “Real Housewives of New York City”. Apparently its still a secret since there is no mention of it on Bravo’s website, but it looks like the new show is set to debut in March.

The new show is scheduled to air on March 4th. I would expect them to begin advertising during the final week or two of the current Housewives episodes. The five new housewives are Alex McCord of Cobble Hill, and Bethenny Frankel, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin from where else? The upper East Side. Bravo has been filming them since sometime last summer.

It will be interesting to compare and contrast the two groups. The Orange County ladies lived in their own gated world, whereas the NYC ladies are living among the other 8 million New Yorkers.
