How to Dress Fashionably on a Budget

In a perfect world, we’d have all the money we want to buy the latest designer fashion and accessories. Unfortunately ladies, we don’t live in a perfect world.
Luckily, I’m here to show you how to dress fashionably on a budget. Yes, you read that correctly – you don’t have to spend an arm and a leg to look like you just stepped out of the pages of a fashion magazine!
With a few essential pieces in your wardrobe, you can look fashionable and trendy without breaking the bank.
Quality Costs, but Lasts Longer
Quality coats, slacks and blouses can seem a bit pricey. Think about it, though – quality always lasts longer. High-quality apparel is so durable; it can stand up to repeated wear and tear. Invest in a few high quality pieces, such as a structured coat or a silky blouse and you’ll look absolutely fabulous. What’s more, the right clothing can be interchangeable, so you can create a variety of looks with a lot less clothing!
Seriously, does it get better than that?
Auctions and Thrift Stores are a Girl’s Best Friend
Believe it or not, a few of the best places I’ve found to score high end designer fashion are online auction sites and thrift stores!
Before you get creeped out at the prospect of sifting through rack after rack at your local thrift store, or sweating it out in an online auction, think about this: how many women do you know go through fashion like it’s candy?
Take advantage of this by searching for designer apparel or quality clothing in online auctions or thrift stores. Look for listings that advertise the item as new – if it has the tags, that’s even better!
Not only will you reap the rewards of a substantial discount, you’ll be able to rock the designer look without killing your wallet.
Fit Matters
If your clothing doesn’t fit you, it’s going to look terrible. Make sure your clothing hugs you in all the right places and looks absolutely seamless. Regardless of how little you paid for it, good-fitting clothing will automatically make you look stylish and comfortable. Rock it, girl!
Look for Sales
Year-end or season-end sales are the ultimate place to find designer fashion at much less than retail price. Stake out your favorite stores and watch for the sales. You’ll be able to score fabulous fashion for a fraction of what you’d normally pay!
Dressing fashionably on a budget can be done – you just have to know where to look! I’ve given you a few great resources to go on. Be creative, and have fun.
