How to Find the Perfect Pair of Jeans

I don’t know about you, but to me – nothing compares to a great fitting pair of jeans. You know the kind I’m talking about; they look awesome, they have an excellent fit and they look as if they were made for you.
While it’s often difficult to find a great fitting pair of jeans, when you DO find the perfect fit you’ll have hit the fashion jackpot.
The right jeans will feel so comfortable that you can barely tell you’re wearing anything at all. You’ll be able to tell when you’ve found the perfect pair of jeans – you’ll look fabulous and feel great.
In order to find the perfect pair of jeans however, you need to know what you’re looking for – and my handy guide is going to show you how!
Fit and Feel
You’re going to have to try on several different styles and sizes before you find the pair of jeans that works best for you.
When you’re trying them on, figure out what feels comfortable – and when it’s time to try a different size. Keep in mind that jeans will look and feel much differently when you’re sitting than when you’re standing, so follow what I call the “Sit Test”: if they feel too snug when you’re sitting or too loose, try a different size. If you experience bunching, try on a brand with a lower rise. Sizing will vary from brand to brand, so if you think you’re a 7, you might actually be a 5 or an 8 depending on how the jeans were made! Crazy, huh?
Fabrics and Price
While I wish I could afford some of the higher priced denim on the market these days, I very rarely am able to. If you’re concerned about the type of fabric your jeans are made with however, you may want to consider investing in a higher-priced pair or two.
The reason some of the high-end jeans are so expensive is because the fabric used tends to come from outside the U.S., which in turn costs more money. Some people swear by designer jeans because the fabric is allegedly higher quality and stands up to more wear and tear. It’s up to you whether to purchase bargain denim or designer duds, but regardless, if you find a pair you love consider purchasing several pairs in different washes (i.e., dark, stonewashed, etc.)
The perfect pair of jeans doesn’t come around often, so stock up when it does!
Shape
Unfortunately, some jeans will look better on one body than another. When shopping for denim, choose a cut that works for your shape. For example, curvy girls should stay away from baggy jeans, which can make you look larger than you actually are. If you have short legs, consider longer jeans that hit the bottom of your shoe to elongate your lower body.
Ultimately, you know what works best for your body. Try on several different styles and determine what works best for your shape.
Just follow the previous tips ladies, and you can rock those perfect jeans all season long!
