How to Look Thinner with Fashion

Knowing how to make fashion work for you can create the illusion of a thinner silhouette. I’m going to show you how with a few easy tips.
First and foremost, avoid bright and busy all-over patterns. We should all know that solid colors automatically look slimming. Seriously, if you want to downplay your thighs or but, look for a solid color dress or pants to shave off five pounds.
If you want to create the look of a lean silhouette, avoid crop jackets, midriff tops or anything that doesn’t fall to at least your waist. Longer pieces will look fantastic AND slimming.
If you want to create the look of cleavage, a shirred bodice can create the illusion of a fuller bust. A wrap dress or a deep v-neck tee can also work wonders for those of us who are a little less well-endowed. (This trick also works for people who already have cleavage and want to show it off. If you’ve got it, flaunt it girl!)
We all know that black has an automatic slimming effect. If you want to downplay a particular asset (big hips, a wide butt), try a black skirt with opaque black hosiery. You’ll look trim and fit AND fabulous, of course!
While some ladies may want to emphasize cleavage, larger-busted women may want to play down their bust size. If that’s the case, avoid light colors (that will make you look larger than you actually are.) Instead, balance your look out with a dark top and slim fitting pants.
It’s not hard to look thinner with a few fashion tips. While you may not actually be shaving inches off, you can at least create the illusion of looking thinner.
Just remember, downplay the assets you aren’t happy with and emphasize the ones you’re proud of and you’ll look fabulous no matter what that little number on the scale says.
