The holiday season leaves most of us feeling exhausted, worn out and crabby!
While I love dressing up, sometimes throwing together the perfect outfit after wrapping presents, baking and cleaning seems like an impossible chore – am I right, ladies?
Luckily, I’ve discovered a few easy tips to look put-together during the holiday season, no matter how exhausted you actually are.
Makeup can make you feel transformed, so don’t skip this step! Avoid dark eyeshadow – they can make you look even more fatigued.
For an instant pick me up, sweep a shimmery highlighter on your cheekbones. This will instantly brighten your face. A coat or two of mascara and a dash of lipstick and you’ll be picture perfect in no time.
Another great way to perk up your look for the holiday season is to reach for something you absolutely love. Whether you have the perfect accessory you can’t live without or a fitted dress you look great in, wearing one of your favorites can help boost your mood and get you in party mode.
When I’m feeling tired, I reach for my favorite pair of what I like to call my “sexy jeans.” They hug my curves in all the right places, and I can dress them up or down as I see fit. Perfect!
Similarly, make finding the perfect holiday outfit easy by throwing on a basic dress. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy – that little black dress in the back of your closet will do nicely. The last thing you want to do while exhausted is spend an hour figuring out what to wear!
Finally, wake up with a spritz or two of your favorite perfume. You’ll smell fabulous, and the scent will instantly perk up your mood. How easy is that?
